Many Americans across the country are debating whether it’s worth fixing their old cars versus purchasing a newer model despite an increase in price. Due to inflation and the chip shortage – prices for both new and used cars rose during the pandemic forcing buyers to pay a premium.

Despite high inflation rates – online Black Friday sales in the United States set a new high. On Friday, Americans flocked to their computers, tablets, and cellphones and spent a whopping $9 billion in just 24 hours. An increase of 2.3% from last years’ sales - Adobe Analytics cited the increase was partially due to consumers waiting until November 25^th to purchase items versus taking advantage of the Black Friday deals that began earlier this year.

FedEx is busy delivering holiday packages to consumers all around the world. While some companies are trying to get back to the pre-pandemic level – FedEx is shattering records. The American multinational conglomerate holding company expects to deliver 100 million more packages than it did between Black Friday to Christmas in 2019.

A few years ago I wrote an article about the NBA’s use of data analytics and statistics to recruit players for future seasons. It appears that the NBA is not the only sports league to turn to statistics when deciding which players they should offer spots to on their teams.
